My President believes in these 6 principles:
• Free Enterprise • Limited Government • Individual Freedom
• Financial Discipline • American Values • Strong Borders and National Defense

Principle 1 - Free Enterprise (story)

  1. The highest level of prosperity occurs when there is a free-market economy and a minimum of government regulations.
  2. Private markets help provide liberty, efficiency, and break-through technologies, and lift people out of poverty.
My President also believes:
  1. Public servants are to implement responsible policies that encourage private-sector job growth and innovation.

Principle 2 - Limited Government

  1. The proper role of government is to protect equal rights, not provide equal things.
  2. The United States of America shall be a republic.
  3. A constitution should be structured to permanently protect the people from the human frailties of their rulers.
  4. The government shall be separated into three branches - legislative, executive, and judicial.
  5. A system of checks and balances shall be adopted to prevent the abuse of power.
  6. The unalienable rights of the people are most likely to be preserved if the principles of government are set forth in a written Constitution.
  7. Only limited and carefully defined powers should be delegated to government, all others being retained in the people.
  8. Strong local self-government is the keystone to preserving human freedom.
  9. A free people shall be governed by law and not by the whims of men.
  10. Public servants are to uphold our Constitution.
  11. The Constitution sets up a small federal government.
  12. The U.S. Constitution is a fixed document to be amended via constitutional processes.
My President also believes:
  1. Our public servants are to respect the Constitution’s system of checks and balances and a separation of power.
  2. Public servants are to have term limits.
  3. The President should not be able to choose the Attorney General.
  4. Public servants are not to intimidate, coerce, or extort.

Principle 3 - Individual Freedom

  1. The only reliable basis for sound government and just human relations is Natural Law.
  2. All things were created by God, therefore upon Him all mankind are equally dependent, and to Him they are equally responsible.
  3. All men are created equal.
  4. The proper role of government is to protect equal rights, not provide equal things.
  5. Men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.
  6. To protect man’s rights, God has revealed certain principles of divine law.
  7. The God-given right to govern is vested in the sovereign authority of the whole people.
  8. The majority of the people may alter or abolish a government which has become tyrannical.
  9. Life and liberty are secure only so long as the right of property is secure.
  10. Efficiency and dispatch require government to operate according to the will of the majority, but constitutional provisions must be made to protect the rights of the minority.
  11. A free society cannot survive as a republic without a broad program of general education.
  12. America was founded upon equal opportunity not equal outcome.
  13. Freedom of conscience, speech, and association are sacred.
My President also believes:
  1. The federal government should not control the educational system.

Principle 4 - Financial Discipline

  1. The burden of debt is as destructive to freedom as subjugation by conquest.
  2. Taxes are sacred and represent the sacrifice of the American worker.  Taxes are not to be wasted. (more information)

Principle 5 - American Values

  1. A free people cannot survive under a republican constitution unless they remain virtuous and morally strong.
  2. The most promising method of securing a virtuous and morally stable people is to elect virtuous leaders.
  3. Without religion the government of a free people cannot be maintained.
  4. The core unit which determines the strength of any society is the family; therefore, the government should foster and protect its integrity.
  5. The United States has a manifest destiny to be an example and a blessing to the entire human race.
  6. No one is above the law.
  7. Congress has to live by the same rules as the rest of us.
My President also believes:
  1. Public servants are to be honest, responsible, and look at the whole picture.
  2. Public servants are to serve the best interests of their constituents.
  3. Public servants are to be experienced and competent.
  4. Public servants are to make responsible decisions and are to be held accountable.
  5. Legislators are to read and understand legislative bills before voting to approve.
  6. Legislators are not to approve legislation that provides for other departments and agencies to draft their own laws.
  7. Legislators are not to vote on draft legislation.
  8. Government regulators and legislators are obligated to investigate allegations of misconduct by 1) its own members (government employees and officials), e.g., Congress, SEC officials, etc. and 2) benefactors of government resources: e.g., government contractors, TARP recipients, et cetera, and these agencies should not receive any government funding during the investigation.

Principle 6 - Strong Borders and National Defense

  1. A  free people will not survive unless they stay strong.
  2. “Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations – entangling alliances with none.”
  3. A free people cannot survive unless they have secured borders.
  4. A free people cannot survive unless they have strong national security.
